Maria Ozawa, also known as Miyabi (born January 8, 1986), is a Japanese AV idol (porn star).
She first encountered AVs (video pornography) by watching several tapes that belonged to a friend’s brother. Unlike most AV actresses, Ozawa was not scouted. Instead, she was introduced to the AV industry through a friend that was working in AVs. Ozawa was interested in the industry, and researched companies until she found B-open, a model agent which she liked. She applied for an interview with the company and was accepted. She started modeling as Miyabi for the pornographic site Shirouto-Teien.com in June 2005, which resulted in several sets of photographs and a short hardcore gonzo video released in CD-R and DVD-R formats.

She was then signed by S1 No. 1 Style, an AV studio that produces light hardcore pornography, premiering for them as Maria Ozawa on October 7, 2005 with the video New Face – Number One Style Ozawa remembers that she was so nervous during the filming of her first AV that she could not look the male actor in the face. At S1, Ozawa subsequently appeared in one original video per month until February 2007. She was involved in several S1 compilation videos including the company’s entry in the 2006 AV Open, a competition between Japanese porn studios for the best selling video. The S1 video Hyper – Barely There Mosaic, featuring Maria Ozawa along with other AV idols Sora Aoi, Yua Aida, Yuma Asami, and Honoka (plus a short preview for Rin Aoki), won first place.

Aida debuted in photo layouts in 2003, and made her AV debut in the January 2004 DVD release Pichi Pichi. A co-production of the KUKI and MAX-A labels, Pichi Pichi had Aida playing the role of a student writing a final paper for school on the subject of ecstasy. This concept allowed Aida to perform with a variety of AV actors.
Aida’s second video, Your Yua Aida (February 2004) left the fictional narrative format to explore the documentary style common with Japanese adult videos.In her March release, Voyage, Aida played the role of a photographer who fantasizes about having sex with the male models she photographs.
Praudia (May 2004) had Aida in the role of a bar girl competing with other girls for the customers’ interest. The same month as this release, Aida starred in an “image” video for the Shuffle label. Featuring nude modeling without sex, the video was titled The Naked. Aida appeared in a similar DVD, Maximum, for Kuki in June, 2004. The 60 minutes of new “image video” modeling was padded with scenes from two of her previous releases. Also in June, Aida released Lesson 4, an AV for Kuki in which she plays a teacher in an all-male school.
Aida’s next release, Curved Line Beauties (July 2004) was another “image” video, with the model appearing in various revealing clothing, and oiling herself. Sweat, released in August, focused on Aida’s athletic abilities, and her tendency to perspire easily. Mountain biking was one of the forms of exercise featured in the video.
Aida appeared in MAX-A’s Female Teacher Hunt series in September 2004. In her entry in the series, Female Teacher Hunt in Yua Aida: Wet wet wet…, Aida played the coach of a male synchronized swimming team. When the team fails in a competition, they take turns raping Aida. She was again playing the part of a teacher in the October 2004 Kuki release Tell You.
By October 2004 she was being called the Number One AV actress.

Aida’s entry in MAX-A’s Welcome to Max Cafe! series focused on cosplay. In this November 2004 release, she wore a cheerleader’s costume, a wedding dress, a bunny, and in bondage.
In If…, Aida appeared in a variety of fantasy scenarios. Her character in the video changed situations whenever she opened a door. Among the roles she played in the video were a rape victim, a secretary and a stripper.
Aida appeared in Lusting Uniform Collection in April 2005 with a variety of other AV idols, including Naho Ozawa and Sora Aoi. The video was described as, “for the people, by the people, of the people who love school uniforms!!” The same month, she released Endless, an AV that purported to dramatize an actual event from Aida’s life. The video had Aida as the victim of a molester who ejaculated on her school uniform.
In addition to her original releases, Aida’s videos were anthologized many times in such collections as Blur File, Premium BEST, and three Samantha collections. Within a year of her debut, she had appeared in over 30 videos.
